Ziggy Blanket Pattern

This zigzag blanket is pretty simple if you’re accustomed to the world of crochet.   You can find zigzag and chevron patterns all over the internet, but I thought I’d share mine in case someone just HAD to have it!

Please do not copy and paste my pattern.  You may sell what you make, but please link back to this page on all listings.

I used worsted weight yarn and a J sized hook.  When finished, the blanket measures approximately 5 feet wide x 6 feet long.  The pattern is worked in multiples of 23+2 so if you would like a smaller size, you can adjust it yourself.

Chain 186.  Hdc in 3rd chain from hook, hdc in next 9 sts, * hdc decrease over next 3 sts, hdc in next 9 sts, 2hdc in next 2 sts, hdc in next 9 sts *.  Repeat from * to * across, ending with 2 hdc in last st.

Chain 2, hdc in very first st (last hdc from row one), hdc in next 9 sts, * hdc decrease over next 3 sts, hdc in next 9 sts, 2hdc in next 2 sts, hdc in next 9 sts *.  Repeat from * to * across, ending with 2 hdc in last st.

Continue the pattern until you reach your desired length.  I did 6 colors, each 20 rows long.  When you’re finished, weave in the loose ends!

  1. Great job! Was this for your big blanket order? 🙂
